Harley Race and Dr. X (Masked Man) will meet Igor and Cowboy Bill Watts in the All-Star Wrestling main event Monday at 8:30 p.m. in Wharton Field House, Moline.  Bob Boyer is the opponent of Texas Bob Geigel in the special event.  Other events are Moose Cholak versus Rene Goulet and Mark Starr wrestling Eddie Sharkey.

Fabulous Moolah gives Winona Littleheart a tug.

The Fabulous Moolah was acting decidedly unladylike.

The red-haired female bruiser had picked up the diminutive Winona Littleheart and sat her atop the turnbuckles. Moolah’s tag team partner, Peggy Lee, was keeping Littleheart in an upright position by holding onto her long black hair, allowing Moolah to work Littleheart over in the stomach.

Moolah then picked up Littleheart, held her over her head and flung her violently onto the floor of the ring. The poor Indian girl, whimpering in pain, appeared to be near death.

Gagne Wins Match With Valentine

Verne Gagne, former University of Minnesota wrestling champion, won by disqualification from Johnny Valentine after each had won a fall in the International Ampitheater last night before a crowd of 3,773.

Valentine won the first fall with a throat chop in 15:50 then Gagne scored the second fall with a sleeper hold in 4:06, afterward Valentine was disqualified in 12:04 when he violated a rule by using a strangle hold outside the ring.

Dusty Doesn’t Disappoint This Time

Almost no one in the crowd of about 7,000 fans at the Bayfront Arena Saturday night was disappointed when Dusty Rhodes’ arm was raised in victory over Harley Race for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Heavyweight championship.

Some of his fans have found it hard to forgive Dusty for losing the heavyweight title to Race, only a week after winning it from him less than a year ago in the same arena.

TAMPA – Blackjack Mulligan and Barry Windham went against Harley Race and Cowboy Ron Bass in the final match of the evening at Fort Hesterly Armory Tuesday night.  That was the scheduled lineup, but when Mike Rotondo was brought into the ring and introduced as the new Southern Heavyweight champion, he and James J.
