Wrestling Feature At Riverside Gun Club Outing

Hudson Daily Sun – August 18, 1965

The Riverside Gun Club will present on September 12th at their Annual outing three wrestling matches for the public’s enjoyment.

The matches will be free to the Public and will feature some of the Country’s top attractions. In the first match a longtime favorite Bull Montana of Quincy will tangle with Golden Boy Dupree of Montreal Montana tips the scales at 240 while his rugged opponent will be at about 220 pounds.

Girls’ Tag Teams On Bubble Room Wrestling Program

The second wrestling program in the Bubble Room of the Copper Pin Restaurant is scheduled to start at 8:30 tonight. The program will include a girls’ tag team match with Alma Mills and Silva Torres going against Lucille Dupree and Pat Sherry.

The male portion of the show will pit Bruno Samnartino and Golden Boy and Hobo Brazil and Magnificent Chevier.

Girls Match Tuesday

Berkshire Eagle – May 29, 1965

A girls’ tag team match will feature the second wrestling show at the Bubble Room Tuesday night starting at 8:30. Alma Mills, billed as the world’s champion, and Silva Torres of Puerto Rico will wrestle Lucille Dupree of Montreal and Pat Sherry, the blond bombshell. Two men’s matches also will be on the card. Bruno Samnartino will go against Golden Boy of Hollywood and Hobo Brazil will take on Magnificent Chevier. Wrestling returned to Pittsfield with an all-male show last Tuesday. About 350 attended.

Wrestling at HS Gym Tonight

Lowell Sun – February 22, 1961

Alma Mills, Bambi Ball, Lucille Dupre and Mona Baker will share tonight’s wrestling program at the Wilmington High school gymnasium. The quartet will participate in an Australian tag match with Alma and Bambi facing Lucille and Mona. The semi-final will pit the popular Vince Garibaldi and Sir Robert Randall in a special midget match. Golden Boy Dupre tackles the Masked Ray Kilroy in a 20-minute limit bout. Another match, to be announced at ring side, will open the 8 p. m. program. Proceeds to go to the Wilmington Rotary Student Loan fund, which helps local high school students further their education.

WILMINGTON – Heading an all-star card of top TV matmen, the women’s world wrestling champion, Alma Mills has been signed to wrestle in Wilmington at the High School Gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 8:00 p.m. Matched with Bambi Ball of California, Champ Alma will take on the formidable Mona Baker of Kentucky and Lucille Dupre of Montreal in a free-for-all tag team match, in the main event, 2 falls out of 3 with a 1 hour time limit.

Wrestling Card At Glovers Bowl Features Girls

With weather prospects good, Promoter Joe Maruco is looking or a good turnout tonight at his Glovers’ Bowl for another all star wrestling card. The first bout goes on promptly at 8:30 o’clock.

The highlight of the program will be a tag team girls match with Alma Mills and Sally Gabor lined up against Mona Baker and Lucille Dupree, these girls have performed previously at Glovers’ Bowl and have always pleased the fans.

For tonight’s card, Maruco has booked an All Girl show featuring a tag team match between Alma Mills, the world’s champion and Sally Garbor, The Hungarian Flash against Lucille Dupree, French Canadian wrestler and Mona Baker.
