Dusek Will Try To Recapture Wrestling Belt

Danny Dusek, self styled “one man gang” from Omaha, will try to recapture the Southern heavyweight wrestling belt tonight when he meets Johnny Valentine of Washington, new champion, in a re-match at the Municipal Auditorium.

Valentine took over as king of the Southern heavyweights when he stopped Dusek in a rough match last week. He readily agreed to face the former champion again and the match was set for two out of three falls, winner take all.

“Slave Girl” Elbon And Ramona Waukazo, Indian Maiden, In Return Match

Two return matches will highlight activity at the weekly wrestling bouts at the Sportscenter Monday night.

Jean “Slave Girl” Elbon, of Lincoln, Neb., will meet Ramona Waukazo, of Minneapolis, Minn., in a return match.  Miss Waukazo won last week, after Jean mistakenly thought the referee had given her the final fall.  The Indian maiden took advantage of the opportunity, pinning Miss Elbon to the mat for the final count.

LOWELL – A unique six-girl battle royal will be one of the features of Tuesday’s wrestling show at the Rex arena as Promoter Fred Bruno continues to bring the top grappling talent of the east to this city.

The six-girl battle, the first of its kind ever held here will find Mars Bennett of Detroit, Candy Carol, Dayton, Ohio, and Beverly Sylvia of New Bedford, meeting Princess Moritza of Argentina, Alma Mills and Lulu Lamar of Canada.
