A comprehensive series of boxing contests for the summer is being planned by Stadiums Limited, The first of the important feather-weight fights will be between Mickey Miller, bantam and feather weight champion of Australia, and “Kid” Irish, of the United States, on November 28, at the West Melbourne Stadium. Miller received medical attention to his injured right hand during the week-end, and yesterday he reported to Stadiums Limited that he would be ready to fight in two weeks’ time.

According to Mr. R. Lean, the Stadium manager, Miller will be kept busy for several months in matches with the American feather-weights on their way to Australia. In addition, five middle weights have signed up in the United States under the control of Stadiums Limited. They will be matched with Fred Henneberry, Ron Richards, Jimmy Purcell, and other Australian and oversea boxers now living In Australia.

On Friday night Jimmy Purcell, of Sydney, and Jack McNamee, of Victoria, will meet in a 12-round contest at the Fitzroy Stadium.

As the wrestling season will end in three weeks the management of Stadiums Limited decided yesterday to present six round wrestling bouts on Wednesday nights throughout the summer. The contests will be supported by preliminary boxing bouts and vaudeville acts, and the principals of the Saturday night boxing contests will give exhibitions.

The wrestlers who will appear on the Wednesday night programmes will include Paul Jones, Dick Raines, Abe Yourist, Jack Kennedy, Leo Jepson, Tom Lurich, Jack Scarfe, Bobby Roberts, and Francois Fouche.
