Wrestlers To Visit Sheldon

The Sheldon High School Student Council is sponsoring All-Star Wrestling at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in the Sheldon High School gymnasium.

All-Star matches include:

• Rufus R. Jones, champion, vs. Hustler Rip Rogers, challenger, in the Central States Heavyweight Title Match;
• Brad and Bart Batten vs. The Kansas Outlaws, and Rick McCord vs. Porkchop Cash in the best two out of three falls tag team event;
• Vinnie Valentino vs. Earthquake Ferris in the special challenge match;
• Chief Jay Strongbow Jr. vs. Russell Sapp, Esq., in the opening event.

Advance ringside tickets are on sale at Sheldon Mini-Mart, Thomas Sales and Service at Sheldon, Pappa’s Pizza in Lamar, and Nevada’s Ramey Super Market.

Tickets are $8 for ringside seating, $6 for general admission and $4 for children.  Proceeds from the event will be used for student council activities during the school year.
