Dutch Savage came out on top in an eight-man battle royal in one $1,000 main event on the pro wrestling card Friday night at the Lane County Fairgrounds.
In the preliminaries, Savage defeated Rip Rogers in one fall. Crazy Butch Miller beat King Kong Parsons in another one-fall prelim, and Playboy Buddy Rose was disqualified, handing a victory to John Mantell. Luke Williams bettered Steve Pardee in one fall in the opener.

Dutch Savage defeated Rip Rogers in the main event on the pro wrestling card at the Lane County Fairgrounds after Rogers replaced Buddy Rose, who was unable to make flight connections from Hawaii in time to arrive for his scheduled match with Savage. In preliminary bouts, Lord Jonathan Boyd defeated Kurt Von Steiger and Adrian Adonis bested Dale Lewis.
