Savage Thumb Beats Brown

Billed as a battle of the thumbs, that’s how it was decided Monday night as Dutch Savage stopped Bulldog Brown in the main event before 2,700 wrestling fans at Exhibition Gardens.

Savage took the third fall with a shot to Brown’s throat with his thumb.  In other bouts: Steven Little Bear defeated Emir Akbar, Buck Ramstad and Billy Francis teamed to handle Jack Bence and Mr. Ota, Eddie Morrow dispatched John Foley and Ray Steele and Peppe Ville battled to a draw.

Savage-Stasiak Take Mat Triumph

Dutch Savage pinned Clay Spencer in the third and deciding fall of the feature match to give himself and Crusher Stasiak a win over Spencer and Bull Ramos in a team-tag affair on the professional wrestling card at the Lane County Fairgrounds Friday night.

Steven Little Bear beat Cowboy Frankie Lane on a disqualification in the semi-main event and Jim Gagne and Haru Sasaki drew in the opener.
