Daniel Boone Savage, gigantic hillbilly wrestler, makes his first appearance of the season here when he tangles with Pat O’Hara tonight in the main event of the Florida National Guard wrestling show at the N. Worth Gable Armory at 8:30.

Savagee is a 300-pound chunk of muscle and brawn, who wrestles attired in overalls with a rooting section composed of his relatives and various barnyard pets.  He also carries a full crop of shrubbery reminiscent of Man Mountain Dean.

O’Hara is a local ex-paratrooper, who is very popular with the grapple-for-dough followers.  He is still being instructed in wrestling technique by Romanoff and has shown steady improvement.

The bout is a two out of three fall, one hour time limit affair.

Chris Belkas and Young Sandow engage in a best two out of three fall, one hour time limit semi-final in a bout that should be speedy and clean.

Belkas is attempting to get back into top condition for another shot at the Junior Heavyweight title that the Purple Heart took from him a month ago.

In the opening match, Prince Omar, the Persian Hercules, meets Jim Skeen in a one fall, forty-five minute time limit.  Skeen comes from the Maritime Station and challenged any wrestler in his weight class to fight in the local ring.  He wrestled as an amateur and is a former University of Chattanooga wrestler and held the Southeastern championship while he was in school.
