Ray Eckert and Warren Bockwinkel, both Missouri boys, will clash in the second bout Thursday night in a wrestling card at the Arena Building sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. The card will be featured by a bout in which women wrestlers will appear for the first time in this vicinity. In this attraction Violet Valentine of St. Joseph will meet Evelyn Wall of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The meeting between Eckert and Bockwinkel should prove a thriller. Both have much in common besides being native Missourians. Bockwinkel scales 239 while Eckert hits the mark at 240. Both were born in St. Louis and Warren still makes his home there while Eckert now lives in California, Mo. Both men have been shooting at the championship and each has had two bouts with Longson. Longson won these bouts but was extended to the limit. The match will be one fall with a time limit of 30 minutes.
