South Shore Mirror – August 21, 1969

NORWELL – The Samuel Turner, Jr., American Legion post has joined with the Rockland American Legion Post in sponsoring wrestling matches at the Ball Park in back of the Rockland High School. The first match will be held this Saturday at 8:30 p. m. and will feature Alma Mills, girl’s world champion, who will defend her title against Maggie Santiago.

There will also be a fight for the United States Championship title between Gypsey Joe and Hoboe Brazil. The third match will be for the New England Championship between Bull Montana and Chris Belkas. The last match of the night will be between Buzz Orio and Jim Beaton. If you like wrestling why not support your American Legion.

Girls’ Tag Teams On Bubble Room Wrestling Program

The second wrestling program in the Bubble Room of the Copper Pin Restaurant is scheduled to start at 8:30 tonight. The program will include a girls’ tag team match with Alma Mills and Silva Torres going against Lucille Dupree and Pat Sherry.

The male portion of the show will pit Bruno Samnartino and Golden Boy and Hobo Brazil and Magnificent Chevier.

Girls Match Tuesday

Berkshire Eagle – May 29, 1965

A girls’ tag team match will feature the second wrestling show at the Bubble Room Tuesday night starting at 8:30. Alma Mills, billed as the world’s champion, and Silva Torres of Puerto Rico will wrestle Lucille Dupree of Montreal and Pat Sherry, the blond bombshell. Two men’s matches also will be on the card. Bruno Samnartino will go against Golden Boy of Hollywood and Hobo Brazil will take on Magnificent Chevier. Wrestling returned to Pittsfield with an all-male show last Tuesday. About 350 attended.
