Savage Defeated But It Took Two

The Avenger defeated Northwest heavyweight champion Dutch Savage at the Lane County Fairgrounds Friday night but the championship belt won’t change hands because of a disqualification when The Avenger got some unwanted help.

Mad Dog Morowski jumped into the ring and aided in the defeat of Savage, but the Eugene Wrestling Commission nullified the victory and allegedly fined Morowski $100.

In other matches, the Von Stieger Brothers defeated Crusher Stasiak and Carlos Belafonte in a non-title tag team match, Joey Russell and Sunny Boy Hayes beat Little Brutus and Sky Low Low, and Morowski whipped Dean Kalani.
