Ripper Collins lifted Ron Reed’s Hawaiian heavyweight title last night by taking two out of three falls at the Honolulu International Center Arena.
Reed won the first fall with a reverse cradle, but Collins captured the second by applying the boots to his foe’s head and stomach. Reed then missed with a flying dropkick and Collins subdued him with an atomic drop. Continue reading

A chance to regain the American Wrestling association’s tag team title will be offered The Crusher and Red Bastien Saturday night at the Auditorium.
The pair that took it away on Jan. 20 in Denver, Colo., Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens, will afford the opposition in a two out of three falls match, with a one hour time limit. This attraction headlines five bout program, which starts at 8 o’clock.
In the semi-windup, Ivan Koloff, the 275 pound Russian, takes on Don Muraco, one fall, 45 minutes time limit. The other bouts will be announced later by matchmaker Dennis Hilgart.
