Shane Beats John Tolas

The Spokesman-Review – November 30, 1968

Bobby Shane beat John Tolas by referee’s disqualification Friday night at the Coliseum in the featured professional wrestling match.

The semifinal saw John Leo Jonathan win two out of three over Soldat Gorky.  Bob Beasley was defeated by Jack Bence and Dutch Savage was able to get one fall and the win over Eric Froelich in other matches.

Savage, Tolos Capture Title

The Vancouver Sun – December 10, 1968

Dutch Savage and John Tolos captured the Canadian tag-team wrestling championship by defeating Don Leo Jonathan and Johnny Kostas Monday night at the Garden Auditorium.

In other bouts, Bobby Shane beat Tom Andrews, Dean Higuchi defeated Soldat Gorky, Vic Rostani topped John Heidemann and Eric Froelich and Jack Bence wrestled to a draw.

Moolah Wins Title Match

The Vancouver Sun – September 13, 1966

Don Leo Jonathan, Don Denucci and Paul Jones defeated Dutch Savage, Don Jardine and John Tolos in the professional wrestling main event before 2,246 fans at Exhibition Gardens Monday night.

In the featured girls’ match, world champion Fabulous Moolah retained her title by beating Donna Costello two falls out of three.

In other matches, Betty Boucher and Judy Grable drew, Kinji Shibuya defeated Roy McClarty, and Duke Miller and Eric Froelich drew.

Shane Triumphs In Mat Rematch

Spokane Daily Chronicle – November 30, 1968

A disqualification ended the featured professional wrestling match last night at the Coliseum, with Bobby Shane given the decision over John Tolos.  It was Shane’s second straight win over Tolos and came in a rematch the latter requested.

In other matches Don Leo Jonathan defeated Soldat Gorky, Bob Beasley beat Jack Bence and Dutch Savage won over Eric Froelich.
