The march of Dimes Polio Fund will receive a financial lift Friday night at the Arena when the Odd Fellows turn over their share of gate receipts of the wrestling matches to this worthy cause.  Leonard Thomas, local wrestling promoter said that this polio benefit card has the greatest array of wrestling talent that he has ever been able to assemble for a single night’s wrestling. It’s the Elks Sports Night, Wednesday, Aug. 26.  There will be an all-girl tag team wrestling match.  Names of those participating are Babs Wingo, Betty White, Kathleen Wimberley, and Ethel Johnson.  Thirty-six rounds of boxing.  Dusty Freeman vs. Ike Hart, ten rounds; Hoyt Nummaly vs. Baby Beans, eight rounds, and other matches, Tuesday night, 7 o’clock, at Herndon’s Stadium.
