The San Bernardino Sun – December 22, 1939

San Bernardino Club Offers Program of Wrestling

Vincent Lopez, Mexican heavyweight wrestler and former state champion, tops the mat card tonight at the San Bernardino Athletic club.

Lopez tackles Rowdy Rudy Laditzi, Poughkeepsie, N. Y., grappler, in the three-fall main event. The bout looms as an all-action affair, inasmuch as both Lopez and Laditzi are aggressive wrestlers.

There is no time limit on the match.

Vic Christy, Sunland, California, favorite, returns to the San Bernardino arena against Kola Kwariana, who claims Russian origin.

TIME LIMIT

This also is a two-out-three-fall affair, but there is a 45-minute time limit on the joust.

Rusty Westcoatt, former Hawaiian wrestler, and Jack Sullivan of Los Angeles, will mix in one of the preliminary bouts, while the card will open with a one-fall match between Manuel Rodriquez, Colton newcomer, and Terry McGinnis, big Irishman.
