Bruno Sammartino of Italy and Pampero Firpo of Agentina clash in the non-televised opening bout of tonight’s pro wrestling card at Sunnyside Garden. Sammartino, a 6-4 360-pounder, claims he’s the world’s strongest man, while Firpo a bewhiskered giant, is one of the roughest matmen currently active.
Antonino Rocca and Miguel Perez, reunited as a team, take on Pat Kelly and Chet Wallick in a co-featured bout worthy of main event billing. The Bavarian Boys meet Larry Simon and Miguel Torres in another tag match.
Dr. Jerry Graham opposes Jose Romero, Rene Bardot tests Tony Cosenza and Tony Marino faces Bud Cody. The program starts at 8:30.
