Young Hackenschmidt Beats Ray Robinson

The Milwaukee Journal – April 28, 1936

Young Hackenschmidt earned a match with George Hartay, state junior middleweight champion, by winning from Ray Robinson in the wind-up of a wrestling show at Bahn Frei hall Monday night.  Robinson took the first fall with a pin wheel and body press, but Hack evened the match with a head scissors and then won the deciding fall with a body slam and head scissors.

Arnold Pocan and Tarzan Krause drew in the 30 minute semi-wind-up.

Roy Beacon beat John Marshall, Joe Freberg won from Gus Masterson and Enrino Morshe defeated Jack Root.
