The New Haven Arena will offer another of its star-studded wrestling programs next Saturday, headed by a tag team match sending famed Antonino Rocca and Ricki Starr against the Australian pair of Don Heffernan and Al Costello, called “the Kangaroos” after the famous animals of their homeland.
Rocca is the acrobatic Argentinian rated America’s No. 1 mat drawing-card and Starr is the nimble one-time ballet dancer who delights fans with his extreme cleverness. Heffernan and Costello have become rousing grapplers since starting their American campaign.
A second tag team match will send notorious Dr. Jerry Graham and his brother Eddie against Luis Martinez and Mark Lewin, two other well-known matmen.
Backing up these alluring pairings will be a tussle between Miguel Perez and veteran Harry Lewis, and an opening bout between Steve Stanley and Marvin Mercer.
