Blond Bonnie Watson of West Virginia showed as modern wrestling’s “dream girl” at the Coliseum Thursday night but her rough stuff earned the ire of the crowd as she slugged and kicked her way to victory over the Mexican star, Senorita Olga Zepada of Houston.
Miss Watson won in three falls over her scientific opponent, striking with too much power in the decisive phases of the match.
Bill Melby, local favorite, triumphed in the finale of the six-man battle royal.
Promoter Dave Reynolds announced that the wrestlers will present a special holiday card Thanksgiving night. An all-girl tag team match with Miss Watson and Mary Jane Mull pitted against another strong feminine team.
