Three action-packed mat features should make the old coliseum wrestling arena rock ‘n’ roll Friday when the local promoter presents the weekly program.
The triple-header will include that spectacular tag team match in mud, the second appearance here of Miss Penny Banner, and a rugged rematch that still has the fans agog since last week’s riotous affair.
This team affair is undoubtedly the mat game’s “dirtiest event,” and without question its most entertaining.
Rocky Monroe, Wichita, and Jim Blood, Lodi, Calif., claiming to excel in the mud, will take on the clever Johnny Goelz and Treach Phillips.
Miss Banner was outstanding in her performance here last week when she toppled the talented Miss Ethel Johnson of Alabama. Her opponent Friday will be Miss Helen Hild, Phoenix, southwest titleholder.
The match fans waiting for will be the return clash between “Stretch” Parks, San Antonio, Tex., and “The Bat,” masked unknown. Parks lost a thriller here last week and vows his rematch will rip the mask off his rugged foe.
