Bobby Lane, the villain of the local mat, tackles Juan Hernandez in the feature bout on Wednesday night’s wrestling card at the N. Worth Gable Armory Promoter Pat O’Hara announced last night.
Lane, a 231 pounder who wrestles out of San Francisco, and Hernandez, a 223 pounder from Latin America, will clash in a best two of three falls bout.
O’Hara has also lined up a five-girl wrestle royal for a supporting bout on the card. Miss Terry Majors, Ann LaVerne, Arlene Ratcliff, Violet Viann and Helen Hild will compete in the wrestle royal.
The opening event on the card will pit the Red Menace against Billy Darnell in a one-fall 30 minute battle. Darnell, rated as one of the top men in wrestling, will be making his debut at the Gable Armory.
