Professional wrestling’s world heavyweight champion lost a match but kept his title last night at Miami Beach Convention Center. Dory Funk Jr. won by disqualification over Jack Brisco, but a title cannot change hands on a disqualification.
In a six-man tag team match; Eddie Graham, Dusty Rhodes and Rocky Johnson defeated Bob Roop, Bearcat Wright and the Mongolian Stomper. Mike Graham and Tiger Conway Jr. beat Bob Graffin and Mark Starr in a tag-team match.
In singles matches: Chris Markoff pinned Rick Fields; Pepper Gomez defeated Wolfman John Smith and, in the opener, Hiro Matsuda beat Danny Hodge.
Attendance was announced at 4,470.
