Ladies will be admitted free Thursday night when the weekly wrestling card is held at the Bowling Green High gymnasium.
The admittance will be free to the general admission section only, but if they wish they can purchase ringside seats for half price.
A big tag team battle will highlight the program, which will start at 8:30 p.m. It will feature the sensational Scufflin’ Hillbillies, Willie and Slim, against Johnny and Jack Long.
Accompanying the Hillbillies will be their colorful manager, Cousin Alford. As usual, he will have his cowbells along. Alford always livens up the party.
Jesse James, the sleek Californian who has held Southern TV and junior heavyweight championships, faces a toughie in Sailor Moran, the former Boston seaman who has met and defeated most of the top wrestlers in the profession. This will be an elimination tournament match and is expected to be a heated affair.
An amateur match will open the program. Bowling Green’s Allen Curtis has challenged all comers and his opponent will be announced at ringside.
Ringside seats for Thursday’s big card will be on sale at Western Hills Restaurant on Russellville Road.
