Big Crowd Sees Women Grapplers

More than 3000 fans turned up at the fairgrounds last night to see Spokane’s first women’s professional wrestling match in years.

And Fabulous Moolah won two out of three falls from Rita Cortez to earn the right to meet Helen Hild next week.

In the other matches, Frank Stojack took two straight falls from Red Gagnone, who substituted for Doug Donovan, and Bill Fletcher and Moe Smith won two out of three from Chico Bonales and Juan Onaindia in a tag-team event.
